The Tait-Kordia Joint Venture has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Site Acquisition to join their team on a two year fixed-term basis. About the Company The Tait-Kordia Joint Venture is a newly established company tasked with constructing and operating a Public Safety Network (PSN). Its primary aim is to enhance the communications capabilities of Emergency Services Agencies by delivering modern and secure communication services, including voice and messaging, while also facilitating improved communication among various emergency service agencies. About the Role The Head of Site Acquisition plays a pivotal role in the delivery team, ensuring timely acquisition of allocated sites to meet the construction deadlines outlined in Tait-Kordia and PSN contractual agreements. This role is ideal for individuals seeking their next challenge. This is fixed-term position for two years. Reporting to the Head of SAED and Build and based in central Auckland, your primary responsibilities will include the following: Manage a team of acquisition professionals to deliver Site Acquisition for approximately 500 sites across the whole of New Zealand. Getting sites to a stage where they can be built (Right to Build). Support the Head of SAED and Build to meet not only acquisition but also build timelines. Work with the design, build, transmission, and power teams to Identify innovative site solutions/locations to ensure sites are acquired in a timely fashion whilst still able to be built efficiently. Analyse Greenfield, brownfield and Co Location sites and look at trends in order to best forecast time to acquire sites. Ensure all contractual commitments with regards to acquisition of sites are met Manage the process from start of acquisition through to site acquired to ensure a minimal duration between milestones. Ad Hoc reporting on progress of all assigned projects. Other tasks as specified by Head of SAED and Build. While the office is based in central Auckland, we are opening to considering remote and hybrid work patterns for this opportunity. About You We are keen to hear from individuals with the following skills: Good understanding of Mobile/LMR networks. Extensive Knowledge of the requirements for obtaining a site lease. Extensive Knowledge of the requirements for obtaining resource consents. 10+ years of Telecommunications project management experience. Self-starter with the ability to self-manage. Great organizational and time-management skills. Adaptable and possess an ability to work with others and participate on cross-technology teams.
