Unified Vehicle: Improvements to Logging and Monitoring of PTToX Solution
Are you a software development or computer science student with an interest in Python and / or C++? Do you want to work on a real industry project, developing features that add real customer value? We have an exciting opportunity to work on a project related to our Unified Vehicle solution. Tait Unified Vehicle is an in-vehicle, edge-computing solution offering support for applications that rely on communications over multiple RF bearers (LMR, LTE, WiFi). Logging and monitoring capability is key to the operational management of our customer deployments. On this project, you will be tasked with improving our capability to access logs from live deployments, for both cloud hosted components and Unified Vehicle. You will also investigate extensions to the real-time monitoring capability, creating better visibility of actual usage which will assist with billing and provide more value on top of our existing services. By the end of this project, you will have created cloud-hosted APIs into a range of run-time statistics, allowing us to better manage the service we provide to our customers. You will be embedded directly in the development team, and completely integrated with the team's agile development practices. You will have the opportunity to get involved in all phases of development, from qualifications elicitation through to implementation, test and deployment. If study has been completed, the closing date of your final semester should be less than 12 mons ago. Be studying science, technology, engineering, design or business at a New Zealand tertiary education institute. Be legally permitted to work in New Zealand.
