ABOUT THE ROLE Key to the company's success, Estimators are professional members of the commercial team. Their role is to develop budgets for a wide variety of commercial construction projects including new builds, refurbishments, re-clads and fit-outs. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Build Cost Budget estimates from preliminary documents * Manage the build cost budget as the design phase progresses * Prepare detailed estimates from tender/consent documents * Form tender strategies with the bid team * Build and maintain a base of subcontractors and suppliers * Request & receive subcontractor and supplier quotations * Prepare schedule of quantities * Estimate the cost of retained work packages from 1st principles * Analyze subcontractor and supplier estimates * Review conditions of contract * Prepare and manage risk registers * Prepare competitive tender submission SKILLS & BACKGROUND * 5-6 yrs commercial construction background as an Estimator may also include some Quantity Surveying * National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or other relevant tertiary qualification * CostX (training provided) BENEFITS * Work with an ambitious team * Health, Life, Trauma & Income Protection Insurance (after six months) * Exciting projects
