Te Pae Tawhiti Programme is a once in a generation, multi-year transformation, which aims to ensure MSD has the capability to serve New Zealanders now and for decades to come. Service Experience is the key implementation arm of this transformation. Through Service Experience we will implement the technology, processes and tools needed to land both our Future Service Model and Client Engagement Practice, while also transforming the way the Ministry delivers its core products and services for clients, staff, and partners. Senior Business Analyst • Te Pae Tawhiti Programme • Full time Fixed Term / Secondment to end of June 2025 • National Office, Wellington We’re seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join Te Pae Tawhiti as a member of the Service Experience team. The new Service Experience Platform that will be delivered by Service Experience will be a key enabler of MSD’s future operating model which will ultimately improve our ability to provide fair, consistent, accurate and timely support to New Zealanders. The Senior Business Analyst will work as part of a team to deliver business analysis services across Service Experience. The primary focus for the team is to support delivery of the new Service Experience Platform which will require working with business and technology representatives to help define, design, develop and deliver technology and business changes. We’re looking for someone who provides a balance of business analysis capability that can contribute towards our desired business and technology outcomes for Service Experience. We want someone who is a leader, outcomes focused, able to see the bigger picture but can operate in the detail, and has a practical approach to identifying business needs and supporting a broad range of project outcomes. You’ll be part of a cross-functional multi-disciplinary team, and you’ll need to be highly collaborative with others from across the business. You’ll get involved with different business groups, working to understand and identify their needs and lead solution focused options. You will be working in a complex Project, so you’ll need to be able to provide high quality analysis and advice on business and technical issues. Responsibilities: • This is not a pure technical Business Analyst role however we do want a Business Analyst who has experience working in projects where there are both business and technology changes • Help shape and scope work that is required to move the Programme forward • Make decisions on what business analysis service is required to meet a desired outcome or produce a desired deliverable • Engage with stakeholders, Programme team members and vendors to fully understand, communicate, develop, and deliver on agreed requirements and solutions • Support the Lead Business Analyst with all aspects of BA Practice management within the Programme • Analyse and understand business needs and translate them into fit for purpose user stories/requirements with clear acceptance criteria • Provide day to day support to Business Analysts in the Programme • Plan and facilitate workshops and meeting with stakeholders • Collaborate with a range of stakeholders to ensure user stories/requirements are understood and solution outcomes are achieved • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data and information into actionable insights • Provide reporting and feedback from and to stakeholders, users, and team members Experience you’ll bring: • Experience working in a large Programme of work as a Senior or Intermediate level Business Analyst is desirable (but not essential) • Experience building or contributing to a dynamic and positive team culture • Experience developing or supporting the development of a BA Practice • Experience utilising a broad range of business analysis tools and techniques in complex situations • Experience with design principles and Customer Experience • Excellent interpersonal skills Position Description http://www.msd.govt.nz/hr/documents/position-descriptions/dce-transformation/te-pae-tawhiti-programme/senior-business-analyst.docx Salary Range: $102,533.00 to $124,402.00 How to apply To apply, click the 'Apply Now' button to upload your CV, cover letter and complete the online application form.
