Quality Assurance Technician / Materials Engineer

What you must have: A positive, can-do attitude Committed and hard-working with a quality focus Great communication skills in English A calm, mature approach to problem solving and ability to ask questions Physically fit enough to carry out manual tasks A willingness to learn and grow within the role and business Ability to work effectively with a wide-range of people from different cultural background Takes initiative and ownership of their own learning (although support and training will be provided) Relevant education and experience in materials engineering What you will do: Carry out verification checking to customer specifications (including metallurgical processes) Set up, operate, and monitor Heat Treating machinery Interpret specifications and translate into processes/instructions Liaise with customers on technical and process-related queries Prepare and verify properties of processed materials to confirm compliance Participate in improvement projects and initiatives (lean manufacturing, continuous improvement) Monitor, and report on process quality control measures in accordance with quality standards Create/write heat treatment processing instructions Contribute to the administration of the Laboratory function Coordinate the subcontracting of technical work and testing Carry out metallography including preparation of samples for examination under microscope, micro-photographs, and report on findings Provide support to the leadership team to achieve Health, Safety, Quality objectives More importantly, you should be a committed, hardworking individual who has the ability and initiative to learn and grow within the business.
