Leveraging 50yrs of mobile radio innovation, Tait provides critical communication networks for emergency services, utilities, and transport customers around the globe. For many of these customers the Tait Services team provide 24x7 managed operation of these networks on their behalf. For this project, you will be embedded within the Services team, working closely with and learning from experienced teammates on a project that will make a real improvement to the service we provide our customers. As part of our service agreements, we must meet key performance indicators (KPI's) for managed networks. Currently, retrospective reports are produced to enable periodic reviews with customers of their network performance. Your challenge will be to provide a framework which automates this process and provides real time data, thus providing early warning of potential issues and enabling on demand performance reports. On this project, as well as learning how a managed network system operates, you will gain exposure to data processing though coding & scripting, performance monitoring, event handling, system integration and ITIL. If study has been completed, the closing date of your final semester should be less than 12 mons ago. Be studying science, technology, engineering, design or business at a New Zealand tertiary education institute. Be legally permitted to work in New Zealand. This is a fixed term paid summer internship position for 400 hours, commencing in November 2020. Applications will close Sunday 27 September 2020.
