The Service: BeachHaven Service is a unique and exciting environment where we provide care and support to people who are experiencing some barriers due to their mental wellbeing. The residents are being supported on their journey to independence in collaboration with their community support workers, friends and whanau. Support is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Currently all of our residents are living within the BeachHaven site, that consists out of a variety of separate flats/houses.The successful candidate will be based at our BeachHaven Service as a casual support worker, ensuring support is available if required by any of our residents. Role: The role of Support Worker, we believe, is the key ingredient for successful client outcomes. Consequently, we provide ample and on-going tools and encouragement to develop, grow and flourish in the role, striving to ensure an environment of learning, teamwork, and enjoyment. You must: have/are working towards a Certificate in Health and Wellbeing L4 or equivalent hold a valid/current work visa, residency, or citizenship be fully Covid vaccinated with 1 st & 2 nd and a booster vaccination in compliance with the mandate for the Health sector. Have a passion for walking along side those in need, supporting on-going goals on the pathway to recovery. NZ Full Driver Licence. You will: Have experience working in mental health and/or AOD Be a clear and effective communicator Have emotional maturity and be respectful Be positive and encouraging with a good sense of humour.
