We Go Beyond for A Safer World RAN Lead - RF System Engineer Te Tūranga - The Role We're seeking a "RAN Lead - RF System Engineer" to take on a pivotal role in advancing our business. Your expertise will be instrumental in overseeing technical initiatives and motivating our team to deliver exceptional communication solutions for our clientele. Your focus will be on RF engineering, engaging across all stages of customer interaction and project development, from establishing clear specifications and viable contracts to implementation, deployment, acceptance, and support transition. The role of "RAN Lead - RF System Engineer" demands a comprehensive understanding of RF technical systems and a proven ability to manage both technical tasks and personnel within a project framework. Ideally, you'll have a background in RF engineering design and extensive field experience in and around radio sites, along with expertise in radio systems design and deployment. Knowledge of Radio System operation within customer control centres is advantageous, as is an interest in coverage verification, GIS, and mapping systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to achieving exceptional project outcomes for both the project and the customer. As the RAN Lead, you'll contribute to the business by applying your knowledge and expertise to define and supervise projects effectively. This role reports to the Project Engineering Manager. The duties of the role will include: Ensuring that commitments made to the customer are achievable within the agreed timeframe and cost. Working in partnership with Programme/Project leadership and wider Tait functional leadership as appropriate to set up the team for success. Contributing to planning and scheduling at programme level, the establishment and maintenance of project standards and processes, and provide advice and recommendations to the leadership team. Actively engage and communicate with the programme/project team and stakeholders. Assign roles and work to technical staff. Ensure roles, responsibilities, goals, and outcomes are clear. Work with the Technical Lead to ensure a clear specification of the deliverable solution is captured and agreed. Ō pūkenga - About You To be successful in this role, you will have a broad understanding of RF technical systems. As well as: Proven capability of manage technical work and technical personnel in a project context. Background in RF engineering design and / or radio systems design / deployment. Substantial field experience in and around radio sites. A positive attitude, willing to go above and beyond to obtain an excellent outcome for both the project and customer.
