Up for sale is a quite rare 1975 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Long Wheel Base with glass partition/division. This is a good honest car, and as far as I can tell (looking at the condition of the carpets, seats and pedals) the milage appears genuine. Originally built to order for Japan (I have the full build history), and then imported to New Zealand in May 2004. Has the rear air conditioning and radio. Quite amazing, as the air conditioning unit for the rear is operated off an entirely separate system in the boot (see photo). The a-c works, but as far as I am aware, the front needs to be re-gassed. Not entirely sure about the rear, however, the fans etc do work, just does not blow cold. The electric glass partition works flawlessly. The 2 rear power windows play up sometimes. A few panels have clear coat coming off (I have a lot additional photos and can email them to you if you are interested). Body is straight and true. I polished it recently and it appears that some panels may have been re-sprayed at some stage. Leather is in terrific condition - just needs to be re-colourd (if you are so inclined) and oiled. No rips or cracks. Upholstery appears all original. Wood veneer in front need to be re-lacuered (including the hockey sticks under the windscreen). The leather on the armrest on front driver's and passenger's do have cracks. Central locking works. Came with aftermarket stereo (I have no idea why), but I do have an 8 track to go with the car (although believe it is not original to the car). Comes with original tool box, but some tools are missing. Brand new ever flex roof was installed when car was imported into New Zealand, at a cost of $7,000.00 NZD (back then). This is a beautiful car, and looks royal rolling down the highway or country roads. I am in no hurry to sell, as I do know how rare these are. I have tried to mention as many of the "flaws" as possible, and will be chipping away at these slowly. I have already started detailing it, and the car is coming up beautifully.
