Opportunity with CMW in Auckland An opportunity has arisen for an experienced draftsperson to join our team in North Auckland and support our Auckland and wider operation across NZ. To be successful in this position you will need to be hard working, have a sense of urgency, great communication skills and an eye for detail. You will take pride in trying to get things right the first time and enjoy computer based work.Reporting to the Aukland Manager and Drafting Team Leader, your duties will include but are not limited to: Provide drafting support and documentation. E.g. converting coordinate grid systems, geo-referencing aerial photographs, drafting figures and design drawings Undertake technical and non-technical tasks and take responsibility for accuracy and quality of your work Work within the technical team to develop, provide and promote technical solutions, options and initiatives to meet client needs Maintain high technical standards and professional work ethic Monitor project progress against budget to ensure cost overruns are avoided Develop robust professional relationships at work Be able to prioritise your workload in conjunction with the Team leader as needed Other duties and tasks as required The ideal candidate for this role will have: Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar from a recognised institution Relevant work experience in a civil/geotechnical engineering consultancy; Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Civil3D; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Thorough and accurate; The ability to manage workload to meet project deadlines; However, don't be deterred if you don't tick all the boxes.
